Want to make a difference?
I spent a year in Burkina Faso, West Africa, working on water projects that brought the most valuable substance in the world to those who need it most. I did this in partnership with many socially conscious businesses and individuals who were also looking to make a difference where we lived and worked. The experiences I gained as a result of that time - including knowledge, insight, and compassion - have profoundly marked me for life, and I can never forget the beauty and struggle of those I met there.
The water industry in Australia is one of the best developed in the world, and I believe that we have a great ability to go beyond aid and make a real impact for those doing it hard. For that reason, I am working on a social enterprise that will dovetail my experience in urban water in Australia with the urban water needs of developing nations. I write on this issue for an NGO called Cleanleap, if you want to know more.
If you're interested in social enterprise, want to make a difference, or just curious as to what I'm talking about, get in touch with me. I would love to hear from you.
