“I need buy-in”
Gone are the days of tokenistic engagement that talks at people instead of with them, and your stakeholders know it: they expect more. Whether you are looking to develop a new plan, strategy, or major piece of infrastructure, getting the right people onside is critical.
My engagement techniques are tailored to your audience and situation with a little creativity thrown in. Not interested in another town hall where you feel like you have a bull’s-eye on your chest? Me neither. My approach focuses on reducing unnecessary adversarial relationships and creating spaces for co-creation. I work closely with your technical team to determine what strategic inputs you need to make sure our engagement activities contribute directly to your project outcomes.
I spent a year in Burkina Faso, West Africa, working with rural communities on water projects including developing agreement across language and cultural barriers. Closer to home, I’ve worked with engineering firms and local councils on a range of projects ranging form stormwater harvesting site prioritisation to integrated options for wastewater treatment. During my time with the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability, I co-organised a 5-day regional engagement tour with over 20 Victorian climate affected communities.
It doesn’t matter if you are dealing with government, community or others in your organisation – I can help you bring everyone to the table in a productive and collaborative way.
Here is what some past clients have to say:
"Lindsey did a fantastic job assisting us to engage with local government, Victorian agency and community stakeholders in developing opportunities to incorporate integrated water cycle management principles into backlog sewerage planning. Lindsey led and facilitated our stakeholder workshops very successfully. It was clear to us that Lindsey’s involvement and insight was pivotal in obtaining meaningful buy-in and contributions from our stakeholders."

"Working with Lindsey was delightful, enjoyable and inspiring. Her innovation and creativity cut through the complex logistics of the five day tour with the Commissioner to meet women from all walks of life in the Loddon Mallee region, allowing the last meeting to be as fresh and invigorating as the first."
