“I need fresh thinking”
Dwindling resources and increasing expectations around delivery demand that everyone does more with less… and less again. Your organization needs to continue to provide a high level of service but every penny is counted and there isn’t enough to go around. You are in the Battle of the Budget, and the troops are getting tired.
Tools such as adaptive management and evaluation can help validate activities or identify how they can be modified to offer the most value. Strategic planning and risk identification are also great tools, particularly when delivered by someone who knows your industry intimately and is already familiar with your problems and drivers. Developing a new strategy? Thinking of moving in a new direction? Sometimes having someone to break the “group think” and offer a different perspective can get you to a new solution that makes the most of what you have.
My experience in strategy extends from projects with the mining industry delivering corporate social responsibility strategy to the recent evaluation of Melbourne Water’s development of its Healthy Waterways Strategy. I have worked in strategic research and development for DSE (now DEPI) including developing divisional program logics for research investment of over $2.4 million, and delivered policy and program evaluations for multiple government departments.
If you are looking for a pattern-interrupt, some fresh ideas from someone who knows the industry, drop me a line.
Others I've worked with said this about me:
"I really enjoyed working with Lindsey. She quickly understood our specific needs and organisational context and was able to provide efficient, timely and relevant project outcomes, suitable for our program and the broader business. She required very little supervision but exceeded our expectations. We hope to work with Lindsey again in the near future. Thanks Lindsey!"

"Making Adaptive Management happen in a large organization is not easy. Lindsey was able to make sense of this highly complex project quickly and bring some great ideas and new approaches to it."
